A Morning Walk
“Sometimes a quiet morning is enough.”
This morning, I walked to a small park near my home. It was the end of March. The cherry trees had just started to bloom. The air was a little cold, but the sun was warm.
I sat on a bench and looked at the trees for about ten minutes. An old man walked past slowly with his dog. We gave each other a small bow. We did not speak.
On the way home, I bought some lettuce at a vegetable shop. Back home, I made tea and read the newspaper. Nothing special happened today. But I thought a little about the cherry blossoms.
