The Day My Umbrella Broke
“Sometimes a small thing breaks, and you find a way to keep going.”
It rained hard that morning. I walked to the train station with my old umbrella. The rain hit my face and my shoes got very wet.
Near the station, the wind pulled my umbrella open too far. It broke. Two of the arms bent and it could not close. I stood in the rain and did not know what to do.
I saw a convenience store across the street. I ran inside and bought a new umbrella. It was small and blue. I paid, said thank you, and walked to the train. I was wet, but I was okay.
